New Prescription For Duane Reade Traffic

Motorists exiting the Duane Reade parking lot will once again be able to make left turns onto Beach Channel Drive and will be governed by a traffic signal, according to Keith Kalb, Department of Transportation Spokesperson. “When traffic is moving from Duane Reade, all other traffic will have a red light,” said Kalb. The latest changes are the result of collaboration between the pharmacy and a traffic consultant, according to Kalb. The “no left turn,” “all traffic right” and “stop” signs, shown here, will be removed. They were installed in July 2003, but the intersection remained accident-prone.Motorists exiting the Duane Reade parking lot will once again be able to make left turns onto Beach Channel Drive and will be governed by a traffic signal, according to Keith Kalb, Department of Transportation Spokesperson. “When traffic is moving from Duane Reade, all other traffic will have a red light,” said Kalb.
