Smith Workshop on Asian Businesses

Smith Workshop on Asian Businesses

Senator Malcolm Smith is urging all constituents with a positive interest in the development of small, minority and women owner businesses in China and India to attend his important workshop on February 14 in the Legislative Office Building in Albany.

"I would be honored if all would join me and my co-chairs Senators Ruth Hassell-Thompson and Kevin Parker, to discuss in substantive detail the economic opportunities available for small, minority and women owned businesses in China and India," said Senator Smith.

The workshop will be presented in dual sessions. The morning session will address issues pertaining to China and the afternoon session will address the issues pertaining to India.

Senator Smith noted this workshop comes at an ideal time following his efforts along with John Wang, President of the Asian-American Business Developmental Center, and the SIA Organization to work together in supporting economic opportunities in China and India, such as the successful SIA Trade Mission earlier month and the Shanghai Trade Show coming in October.

If you would like to attend the workshop, please contact Chris La Barge, the Caucus Weekend Co ord inator at 518.455.2195.
