Park Nursing Home Gets An ‘A’ From State
The Park Nursing Home on Beach 115 Street has announced the successful completion of its survey by the New York State Department of Health.A0
All nursing facilities are surveyed every 9 to 15 months by the Health dep art ment.A0 These surveys cover
every aspect of the care of the home’s residents including the cleanliness and safety requirements. If any violations of the State Health Code
are found the facility is cited and corrections must be made.A0According to a spokesperson for the home, to complete a survey without any deficiencies is highly unusual.A0 For the second time in the past three years Park Nursing Home has had a survey with no deficiencies.A0
"It takes a rare combination of skill, dedication and perseverance from our staff to achieve this goal," the home’s spokesperson said.
The Health Department arrives unannounced and at anytime of the day or night.A0
"The Facility must be prepared 24 hours a day 7 days a week - all this in a family like atmosphere," the spokes person added.
The Park Nursing Home has served the Rockaway Community since
1960 and many of our employees reside and have close ties to Rockaway. The average employee has worked at Park Nursing Home for over 15 years.

Park Nursing Home was the first facility in Queens to do away with restraints on its patients.A0 This was accomplished over 10 years ago.A0 We were the first to initiate a true palliative care program along with our Hospice program.
