PHC and VNS Address Hospital Auxiliary

The Peninsula Hospital Center Auxiliary welcomed Ms. Winnie Spence from the Visiting Nurse Service of New York. Ms. Spence discussed the many options that a patient and their families have when it comes to homecare. She also explained how insurance matters are resolved in these instances. “We are pleased to welcome Ms. Spence to our luncheon,” stated Anne Levine, Co-President, PHC Auxiliary. “It is sure nice to know that there is care available after being discharged from a hospital.” The next PHC Auxiliary meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 3 at Noon in the Meditation Room and will feature a presentation by Fitzgerald Alcindor, M.D., Director, Department of Emergency Services and Vicky Backus, R.N., Nursing Coordinator, Department of Emergency Medicine on the latest upgrades to the Emergency Department. The auxiliary will also be holding a Valentine’s Lunch at the Wharf on Wednesday, Febraury 11th.
