SJEH Hosts Bereavement Workshop
The Child & Adolescent Bereave ment Center of St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, South Shore, is hosting a free workshop that will enable people to begin to heal unresolved grief and to make changes in their lives. The workshop, entitled "Healing Our Losses," will be conducted by Jack Miller, PhD, and held on Fri day, January 16, 2004, from 10 am until 4 pm at the Teaching Cen ter at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, South Shore, 327 Beach 19th Street, Far Rockaway.
Dr. Miller founded The Center for Education on Death and Dying, Inc., and Cook County Hospital’s Pallia tive Care Program. He is the author of "Healing Our Losses" and has developed a process for grief resolution, which he calls The Phoenix Project, an orchestrated rite of passage that facilitates emotional and spiritual growth.
