Fede Leads St. Rose Knights To Championship


The College of St. Rose in upstate New York, led by Breezy Point native Victoria Fede, won the 2003 ECAC Division II Women’s Volleyball Championship last month. Saint Rose defeated #2 Bloomfield 30-21, 23-30, 30-20 and 30-25.

"This is a culmination of hard work to build our program," said Saint Rose head coach Brian Goodale. "We were led by our three seniors Jessica Euell, Kristen Gaudreau and Victoria Fede. They deserve this win for all of the energy they’ve put into this program"

Euell had 17 kills and 14 digs. Gaudreau added 22 kills, while Fede chipped in 20 kills and 32 digs. Graduating from Bishop Kearney High School, she was a three-year captain and was named a first-team high school All-American. At. St. Rose, Fede entered into her senior season fourth in school history with 972 digs and fifth in aces with 114. The Breezy Point native led the team in digs this season was named a co-captain.
