Hundreds of children from the Far Rockaway area were given a special treat on December 12 when, the man that youngsters just can’t wait to see at this time of year – Santa Claus, made a special visit to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital.
Santa gave the children gifts and posed for photos that the youngsters were able to take home with them.
Cupcakes, cookies, and balloons added to the party atmosphere. St. John’s employees acted as Santa’s Helpers, since his elves were busy at the North Pole getting ready for Christmas Eve.
Angels on the Bay, Healthfirst, Toys for the Sick and the employees of SJEH sponsored Santa’s visit to the hospital. Manrique Alvarenga, Jr. brought his father Manrique Sr. with him to see Santa Claus.
