The band program at PS/MS 43, while still in its developing stages, is quickly becoming a popular extracurricular activity for students. Under the direction of William Northlich, the school has seen a surge of interest from students interested in instruments.

The pieces played in these ensembles range from Mozart to Beethoven to Caribbean folk songs. Northlich looks forward to performances at school assemblies, PTA meetings and faculty meetings this year. He is also hoping to get the popular drum ensemble to perform at a city conference at the end of the year.
