Police said they arrested a man and confiscated his loaded handgun after his girlfriend told them he assaulted and threatened to shoot her on Tuesday.

The girlfriend, a Manhattan woman whose name police are withholding, went to Transit District 23’s temporary headquarters in the Waldbaum’s parking lot to report the alleged assault. But an intelligence sergeant from the 100 Precinct secured the search warrant, which led anti-crime officers to the semi-automatic weapon.

Donarick Williams, 23, was apprehended at the Beach 116 Street subway station, just down the block from Baxter’s Hotel where police said he has lived for a short time. He was charged with felony weapons possession, menacing, and harassment.
