Homecoming Ravens Pee Wees Thrash Chiefs

Homecoming Ravens Pee Wees Thrash Chiefs

The Rockaway Ravens Homecoming Day at Far Rockaway High School was a full day of football for the Peanuts, Midgets and Pee Wees teams. The Pee Wees continued their undefeated season by defeating the Brooklyn Chiefs, 36-0. Laquan Miles scored 4 touchdowns and Devonne Torres scored a touchdown. #11 Laquan Miles scored 2 of his 4 touchdowns in the first quarter.

Miles intercepted two Chiefs’ passes and ran back both for touchdowns. #34 Devonne Torres clipped through the Cheifs defense to score the final touchdown and completed the 2 point conversion.

The Ravens will play the Manhattan Crusaders on Saturday, November 15 at 11 a.m. at Far Rockaway High School. This will prove to be a good game. The Ravens are the #1 ranked team and the Crusaders are ranked #2. The last time both teams faced off, the score was 0-0 until Laquan Miles scored a touchdown in a Ravens 6-0 win.

The Ravens organization would like to thank everyone for coming out to Homecoming Day. The organization will still be accepting help to purchase uniforms, equipment and funds to help for transportation to away games. Any donation will help the kids continue to play football.
