Arverne Pastor to head Southeast Queens Clergy
Reverend Dr. Henrietta Scott Fullard was recently elected as the first female president for the Southeast Queens Clergy for Community Empowerment.
The Southeast Queens Clergy is a coalition of clergy from various denominations throughout the five boroughs and Long Island. Reverend Fuller is currently the pastor of the Bethel AME Church in Arverne.
As president, Reverend Fullard plans to work for affordable medical care, improved literacy rates, affordable housing and an intense voter registration campaign.
Fullard is a former principal of a high school in mainland Queens and ran for the City Council in the 31 district two years ago.
