SJEH Sets New Program To Greet Visitors

A new program to greet visitors and patients at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital South Shore has recently been established.  The program is designed to make St. John’s a more friendly place to visit.

Volunteers will man a reception desk in the main lobby that will guide patients and visitors to areas that they need to visit.  "This friendly environment will certainly make our customers feel more welcome," said St. John’s Chief Executive Officer, Luis A. Hernandez.

Volunteers at the reception desk will either guide or accompany those who require direction to their locations, making St. John’s more user-friendly.  They will also distribute visitor passes, call for the patient transport elevator if needed, and become ambassadors of good will.
If you would like to donate a minimum of four consecutive hours at least one day per week, please call 718 869-7186 to arrange an interview. All volunteers are given appropriate orientation and screening.
