Holiday Shows At Westbury Include Nutcracker, Babes
The State Farm Children’s Series at Westbury Music Fair presents holiday classics for the kids. A Christmas Carol hits the stage from December 10 through 12 in the half round, Babes In Toyland is on December 14th, and The Nutcracker brings holiday spirit to Long Island’s Theater in the Round on December 27th. The Nutcracker is a Christmas fairy tale about a young girl named Clara, who receives a special gift from the magician Drosselmeier – a nutcracker doll. Through the magic of the magician, the nutcracker doll is transformed into a real prince who battles the evil Mouse King. After defeating the Mouse King, the prince escorts Clara to a special Land of Sweets, where she meets the King and Queen. She dances from many lands - candy canes, swirling snowflakes, waltzing flowers and the Sugar Plum Fairy with her cavalier. Clara is thrilled by all of these wondrous sights and hopes they will remain in her memory forever.
