Elizabeth C. Benson
Rockaway Park Resident

Elizabeth C. Benson, long time Rockaway Park resident, died on Octo-
ber 28.

A funeral mass for Benson will be held at St. Camillus Church at 10 a.m. on November 1. Visitation is at the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home on Friday, October 31, from 4 to 7 p.m. only.

She is survived by her good friend, Kathleen Lang.

Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery under the direction of the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home.

Arthur Bolden, Jr.
Retired Transit Supervisor

Arthur Bolden, Jr. a retired supervisor with the New York City Transit Agency, died on October 24 at the age of 48.

Bolden, who lived in Rockaway for 27 years, is preceded by his father, Arthur L. Bolden.

He is survived by his wife, Regina Bolden, A daughter, Regina Bolden, his sons, Arthur, Devin and Travis, by his mother, Christine Bolden, his granddaughter, Rena Ally, his brother, Christopher and his three sisters, Marcia and Vanessa Bolden and Regina Grey.

Jeremiah F. Daly
WW II Veteran

Breezy Point resident Jeremiah F. Daly died on October 23.

A resident of the Rockaway peninsula for 60 years, Daly was a retired foreman for the Daily News.

Born in Brooklyn, Daly served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Daly is survived by his wife, Ann Washington, his two sons, Jeremiah and William, his step-sons Dennis, John and Thomas Washington, and by his step-daughter, Carol Egan. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his three brothers, Alfred, Joseph and Thomas Daly.

Interment was at St. Charles Cemetery, under the direction of the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home.

Marion Flynn
Medical Office Nurse

Marion Flynn, a 40-year resident of Rockaway, died on October 28.

Flynn, who worked as a nurse for Dr. Saltpeter, recently retired to Florida.

A member of the St. Camillus parish, Flynn was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Flynn.

She is survived by her son, Todd Flynn, two grandsons, Todd and Darren and by five grandchildren.

Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, under the direction of the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home.

Janie Mae Hill

Janie Mae Hill, 70, died on October 25 at St. John's Episcopal Hospital.

Born in South Carolina, Hill moved first to Inwood and then to Far Rockaway.

She was an active member of the Women's Industrial League For Peace and Freedom as well as the Golden Hearts Social Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Roxanne Glover, three sons, George Alexander, John Glover and Thomas Glover, 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Interment was at Silvermont Cemetery in Staten Island, under the direction of Lawrence Funeral Chapel.

Michael Santasieri
Korean War Veteran

Roxbury resident Michael Santasieri, also known as "Mickey Sanders," died on October 25.

A retired truck driver, Santasieri was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War.

A summer resident for more than 74 years, he lived in Roxbury full-time for the past 18 years. Santasieri was a member of the Mayor's Committee, a board member for the Catholic Club, the VFW and of Local 807 of the Teamster's Union.

He is survived by his three sons, Paul, Marc and Donald, and by three daughters, Rose Hogan, Marie Drury and Doreen Sams.

He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Interment was at Calvary Cemetery under the directionof the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home.
