St. Francis To Compete In CYO Sectional Meet


St. Francis de Sales’ Cross Country team ran its second meet of the season on Sunday, October 19th, at the CYO Developmental Meet at Alley Pond Park.¬†Pictured above, in their new uniforms, is the Bantam Boys team of Robert Cole, Daniel Donahue, Kilby Featherston, Patrick Kilgallen, John McCormack, and Stephen Pulkoski.St. Francis de Sales’ Cross Country team ran its second meet of the season on Sunday, October 19th, at the CYO Developmental Meet at Alley Pond Park.¬†Pictured above, in their new uniforms, is the Bantam Boys team of Robert Cole, Daniel Donahue, Kilby Featherston, Patrick Kilgallen, John McCormack, and Stephen Pulkoski.

On Sunday, October 26th, the team will compete in the CYO Sectional Championship meet at Alley Pond Park. Running will turn from an individual effort to a team emphasis. The thirteen competing parishes will be divided into two sections, Black and Yellow. The places of the top three finishers from each team in each section in a race are added. The team with the lowest total is champion; the next lowest score is second, etc. Medals will also be awarded to the top 15 runners from eachrace  The season culminates on Sunday, November 2nd with the Diocesan Championship races.
