Torah Celebrations

at Temple Beth-El

Three notable congregation members of Temple Beth-El on Beach 121 Street will be honored on Sunday October 19. Longtime community member Saul Schneider will close the Five Books of Moses, Temple Secretary Ron Waitzman will open the first portion of scripture and Hadassah leader Miriam Landau will chant from the Prophets.

Services begin at 9am in the Main Temple with a luncheon honoring the recipients to follow. Simchat Torah is the most joyous occasion in Jewish Life and is generally celebrated at the end of Sukkot.
