On September 28 and Octob­er 5 St. Genevieve’s students met at the Roxbury bayfront and participated in the Inter­nat­ional Coast­al Cleanup. They gather­ed 13 bags of litter weighing 235 pounds. The most unusual pieces of beach garbage ret­riev­ed were a ref­rigerator door and a two-tier cab­le spool. The project was dedicated to St. Fran­cis of Assissi who encouraged children to appreciate nat­ure.
