"Closing the Mentoring Gap" Campaign

In an effort to get more people involved in the "Close the Mentoring Gap" campaign, State Senator Malcolm Smith recently announced his plan to work with the Mentoring Partnership of New York.

Two years ago, the Mentoring Partnership launched a new faith-based program, which serves as a steward ship program for congregations to strengthen their youth program, create even stronger inter-generational bonds and build much stronger relationships with their communities.

"The Mentoring Partnership for New York is an organization that is dedicated to the expansion of quality mentoring opportunities for New York City youth, and a valuable resource for mentors," said senator Smith. "I am very pleased to be partnering with them to raise awareness of the benefits of mentoring."
