The BCAC Ponies returned home to Memorial Field on Saturday night for a stunning victory. This win improved their record to 5-0. The first scoring drive was set up with a deep pass by quarterback "Bubba" McMahon to John McCarthy for 28 yards down to the 2-yard line. A quarterback sneak put the Shamrocks on the board 6-0.

Fine running by Chris Berrios supplied two more touchdowns. Tough blocking from the offensive line provided Berrios’ breakaway runs of 38 yards and 42 yards. John McCarthy secured the win with a 37-yard touchdown run. McCarthy also threw for an extra point to Nick Mastros. Mastros added 2 points to the score with an extra point kick.

Defensively, the Shamrocks shut down the opposing offense with fine plays by Frankie Laino. Laino had an interception, which he returned for 35 yards. Other defensive highlights were handed in by: George Yodice, Johnny Alite, Jesse Macrae and Sean Kelly. The final score was 32-13. The Shamrocks play home again this coming Saturday against Levittown at 8 p.m. Come root the boys on!
