SJEH Welcomes Pastoral Education Group

The Clinical Pastoral Education Program at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital South Shore welcomed its Fall class. Father Richard Liew, Director of the Program, said “Clinical pastoral education encourages students to develop genuine caring pastoral relationships through practice, written case studies and verbatims, seminars and readings. Through viewing complicated life situations from different viewpoints, we help students gain new insights and understandings about the human situation.” The Clinical Pastoral Education residents practice under individual supervision at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, Bishop MacLean Nursing Home, Bishop Hucles Nursing Home, and Interfaith Medical Center.
