Sun Opens Up For Daly 5K Memorial Run

The runners take off on a sunny and humid day on September 27 for the Fifth Annual Rita Daly Memorial 5K (3.1 miles) Walk/Run. The run honors Daly, who passed away on December 8, 1996. Daly was the librarian at St. Rose of Lima for 22 years and created and strengthened the library from a small room on the third floor and enlarged it to a library/computer center for all of the children to use.The runners take off on a sunny and humid day on September 27 for the Fifth Annual Rita Daly Memorial 5K (3.1 miles) Walk/Run. Danielle Teresa O’Connor’s family would like to wish her congratulations on her latest achievement. Danielle, age 4, a student of St. Rose of Lima School, won a trophy for completing the 3.1 mile Rita Daly Memorial Run/Walk. Her family is very proud of her and her cousin Carlos Springer, age 9, who also completed the 3-mile Run/Walk. Danielle is the daughter of Tracey and Danny O’Connor, granddaughter of Dorothy and John Nash, and big sister of Shane Patrick (who completed the race by way of stroller).Danielle Teresa O’Connor’s family would like to wish her congratulations on her latest achievement. She was a wonderful mother and loved her family and loved the kids at school. She’s beyond description”.The runners, friends and family gathered at St. Rose of Lima Church for the post race party.
