The completion of the landscape mural "Monarch," by artist Esther Grillo will be celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, Octo­ber 4 at 11 a.m. It will be at the Parks Department’s concrete bus shelter on Beach 76 Street at Shorefront Park­way.

The 70 by 14-foot mural was created under Grillo’s instruction with more than 150 apprentices of the Rockaway Artists Alliance.
