O’Connor Honored By PHC
James O’Connor, M.D., Attending Physician at Peninsula Hospital Center (PHC) in Far Rockaway, has been named honoree of the 96th Anniversary Ball, to be held on October 25, 2003 at The Sands in Atlantic Beach.
Dr. O’Connor has been a member of the medical staff at Peninsula Hospital Center since 1985. He is being honored for not only for his skill as a physician, but also for his tireless devotion to improving the lives of his patients by using an exceptional combination of expertise, commitment and caring.
Dr. O’Connor received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from University of Wisconsin and his medical degree from SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, NY. He completed both his internship and residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. He is the Medical Director of Promenade Nursing Home in Rockaway Beach, NY.
Dr. O’Connor is being honored along with Louis T. Caucig, member of the Board of Directors at Peninsula Hospital Center. He enjoys long distance running. He is proud to say that he has successfully completed the last five NYC marathons. He and his wife Laura live in Rockville Centre, New York and have four children.
