September 11, 2001 Remembered

Administration, faculty, staff, and students at St. Edmund Prep High School in Sheepshead Bay participated in a moment of silence and memorial prayer services on September 11. S. Barbara Doyle, CSJ, campus minister, coordinated four different prayer services for each grade level. Students lit candles, rang bells signifying the time of each plane crash, said prayers for the victims and their families, and sang patriotic songs. Prayers were also said for those who defend our freedom, our national leaders, and for peace in our country and around the world. The band and choir accompanied a power point presentation directed by band teacher Mr. Malazzo. At the conclusion of the prayer service, the school community sang “God Bless America.” Photos by Joan Kowkabany.Administration, faculty, staff, and students at St. Edmund Prep High School in Sheepshead Bay participated in a moment of silence and memorial prayer services on September 11.
