Robert V. Levine, President and Chief Executive Officer at Peninsula Hospital Center (PHC) in Far Rockaway, Queens, recently announced the appointment of Georgia Briss, MPA, RN, to the position of Vice President for Nursing and Chief Nurse Executive.

"We are pleased to welcome an individual of MBriss’ caliber to this significant leadership position," said Robert V. Levine, President and Chief Executive Officer at PHC. "Her demonstrated expertise and exceptional clinical background are crucial to our ongoing success, as we continue to look to the future of health care."

Briss received her Master of Public Administration degree from C.W. Post College – Long Island University and her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Pace University. Her experience includes having most recently served as the Director of Nursing at the Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.

Prior to that, Briss served as the Director of Quality Resource Management at New York Methodist Hospital. She has held various nursing leadership roles at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City.
