Arverne Action Association Meets Next Week

The impact of the Arverne by the Sea development project on community employment opportunities and economic development will be addressed at next week’s meeting of the Arverne Action Association.

The meetings will be held on Tuesday, September 23, at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be consultant Darryl E. Greene, representing developers Beechwood Benjamin.

"Arverne by the Sea] directly impacts the people here," said association president Barbara Hillary. She said the meeting will be a forum for residents to "air their concerns and receive accurate information from Beechwood Benjamin, in terms of their commitment to the community."

The meeting will be held at P.S. 198, 365 Beach 56 Street. The entrance to the school is on Beach 57 Street, between Beach Channel Drive and Arverne Boulevard. Parking is available in the yard on Beach 56 Street, in the middle of the block.
