Cell Phone Disclosure
The nation’s six largest cell phone carriers, as well as a various regional companies, announced a new ‘seal of approval’ program, intended to facilitate a comparison of prices and plans.
"The effort by cell phone companies to issue a quality ‘seal of approval’ is a good first step to address what has become dreadful service," said Rep. Anthony Weiner. He says, however, that this is not enough to address the problem.
For that reason Weiner is sponsoring the Cell Phone Service Disclosure Act. This would require the FCC to collect and report on cell phone service complaints about problems.
