The Chamber of Commerce of the Rockaways will be introducing its 2003 honorees on its inaugural Fall Sunset Cruise on board the Mystique on Tuesday, September 16.
According to the chamber’s executive director, Liz Sulik, the cruise will include dinner and dancing, raffles and other fun activities as we sail through New York City’s waterways and around the Statue of Liberty. The cost of the Sunset Cruise is $55.00 per person and will depart from Riis Landing at 6:30 p.m. and will return at 10:30 p.m. "This is another wonderful opportunity in a casual atmosphere to enjoy our beautiful environment with community friends and business associates," states John Lepore, Chamber President. "Networking is a big part of Chamber life and we are eager to continue promoting new relationships."
"The Chamber’s 2003 honorees have all shown a dedication to the Rockaway community, its environment and its residents and truly personify the spirit of the Rockaways, says Sulik."
The 2003 honorees are Daniel Mundy of Environmental Concerns, Barbara Smith of the Deerfield Area Civic Organization, Greg Carter of the Rockaway Sports Association and FPL Energy for its continuing efforts in Rockaway. Nadia Murphy of Belle Harbor will receive the 2003 Pat Brackley Beautification Award. These honorees will be presented with their awards at the Chamber’s annual dinner dance scheduled for November 20 at Russo’s on the Bay.
"Don’t delay," says Sulik.
