Up Where The Air Is Clear

Lots of unidentified flying objects such as these will be spotted in the air over Bay Nine in Riis Park this Saturday and Sunday, August 23 and 24, when the Third Annual Rockaway Kite Festival hits town. The festival runs each day from 10 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., and it will feature kite ballets, music, interactive puppet shows, and a kite-making workshop for children. The event is free, but parking at Riis Park is $4. It is sponsored by the Rockaway Chamber of Commerce, Sky Festival Productions and Gateway National Recreation Area.Lots of unidentified flying objects such as these will be spotted in the air over Bay Nine in Riis Park this Saturday and Sunday, August 23 and 24, when the Third Annual Rockaway Kite Festival hits town.
