Tugs To Compete At Intrepid

Children design boats, color watercrafts, participate in a spinach-eating contest and watch mighty tugboats race down the Hudson River at the 11th Annual Tugboat Festival on Sunday, August 31, starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Intrepid Sea Air Space Museum, West 46 Street at Hudson River Park in Manhattan.

Tugboat events include a parade of the mighty vessels, tug race from the 79 Street Boat Basin to Intrepid Museum, line throwing competition and nose-to-nose pushing contest. Museum will supply older children and teens with materials to make boats and will supply coloring sheets for preschooler and kindergartners.

Please Note: The Tugboat Festival activities on Pier 86 are free and open to the public. All events are subject to change or cancellation. The Intrepid Sea Air Space Museum is a private, not-for-profit organization.

servists $10.00, Children Under 2, Free. Senior/College Students $10.00, Wheelchair Patrons, ½ Price. Students(12-17) $10.00, Active Duty U.S. Military, Free. Children(6-11) $7.00, Museum Members, Free.
