Police Recruitment Drive Ends August 26
State Senator Malcolm A. Smith has announced that the New York City Police Department has once again begun its efforts to recruit the most qualified men and women to join their ranks, and that candidates may file for the upcoming Police Officer examination through August 26.
Prospective Police Officer candidates will have the opportunity to choose from four test dates being offered in 2003: Friday, October 17; Saturday, October 18; Thursday, October 23; and Sunday, October 26.
Additionally, the Department will once again provide free tutorial sessions to all candidates throughout the five boroughs, in order to enhance their test-taking skills.
"For those interested in joining the ranks of the best Police Department in the world, and serving their community through law enforcement, the opportunity is now," said Senator Smith. "I urge those individuals who are interested in fighting crime and bringing criminals to justice to file for the upcoming Police Officer examination, and to take advantage of the free tutorials being offered. Help the New York City Police Department maintain its mark of excellence in our community."
