Kearney’s Latin Students Do It Again!

The results of the 2003 National Latin Examination have been announced. Again, the Latin students of Bishop Kearney High School have distinguished themselves. Worldwide, more than 139,000 Latin students took the exam.

One hundred twelve Kearney students received awards for their outstanding performance. Two students, Stephanie Stachow ’06 and Natalie Raffaele ’05 scored a perfect paper.

Nineteen students received gold summa cum laude certificates and medals, 34 received silver maxima cum laude certificates, 29 received magna cum laude certificates, and 31 received cum laude certificates.

Included in this group of students are Rockaway residents, Sheila O’Rourke ’06, Nora Howard ’06, Corinne Howley ’06, Caitlin Hynes ’06, Courtney Donahue ’06, Ashley Fallon ’06, and Pamela Kellar ’05.
