Queens Council On The Arts Offers Funds
Queens Council on the Arts has again invited Queens’ artists and organizations providing cultural services to apply for funding to help them pursue their artistic dreams.
Applications for the Queens Council on the Arts’ 2004 Queens Community Arts Fund will be available in July, and may be obtained at the office of the Queens Council on the Arts, Oak Ridge, One Forest Park
in Woodhaven, Queens, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Applications are also available at www.queenscouncilarts. org.
Upon request, applications will also be available on MS Word ’97 disc. The deadline for the completed applications is Wednesday, October 1.
The purpose of the Queens Community Arts Fund is to provide Queens cultural organizations and individual artists with support through a competitive process insuring the highest quality of arts activities and services in the borough. The program offers an opportunity for local involvement in funding decisions affecting the cultural environment in Queens.
In order for organizations to be eligible to apply, they must be Queens-based, not-for-profit, in existence for at least one year, and providing cultural programming in Queens. Individual artists who live in Queens are also eligible to apply through Queens Council On The Arts.
