RFP’s For Family Literacy Program

RFP’s For Family Literacy Program

State Senator Malcolm A. Smith has announced that the Department of Youth and Community Development is looking for qualified organizations to develop and operate family literacy programs.

The application deadline is August 4, 2003 at 3 p.m.

"Organizations operating these programs have helped parents and children move toward greater economic, educational, and social self-sufficiency. We should all strive to do as much as possible to stamp out literacy, and these programs can put us on that path," Smith said.

Requests for Proposals (RFP) are available for pickup every business day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Department’s 156 William Street Office of Contract Procurement. A pre-proposal conference was held July 14, 2003, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Municipal Building, Mezzanine North, located at One Centre Street North.

Smith said completed proposals should be sent to Patricia A. Chabla, Agency Chief Contracting Officer, 156 William Street, second floor Floor, New York, NY 10038.
