After a roll call at the crash site on Newport Ave., honoring the memory of their friends and neighbors who perished on 9/11/01 and 11/12/01, the thirteenth annual Rag-Tag Parade led by Grand Marshal Walter Douglas and Majorette Tracy Brennan stepped off to the strains of great American march music. The spirit of pride in county and community filled the air as the rag-taggers marched to Old Glory Plaza.

As "Pete the Flag" raised the colors, Douglass leg the throng in the Pledge of Allegiance.

This years honorees were Peg Keating, "A wonderful lady, a good neighbor, and a treasure to the block", and Rob Klein, "the very model of a good neighbor! When something needs to be done on the block, Rob does it."

The ceremonies ended with a rousing rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.
