Harmony Picnic Set For July 22

On Tuesday, July 22, at 11 a.m. thru 3 p.m., the NYPD’s Patrol Borough Queens South (PBQS), together with the YMCA of Greater New York, Reverend Hardy Smallwood and the Queens South Community Councils will be hosting its eleventh annual police community Harmony Day Picnic.

The picnic will be held at Cunningham Park, located at 196 Street and Union Turnpike.

The aim of this gathering is to celebrate the positive relationship that exists between the community and the police who serve them.

In addition, Con Edison will be honoring three police officers at 12 noon.

Based on past participation, approximately 5,000 youth and senior citizens are expected to attend.

For further information or to confirm your attendance, please call Sergeant Penny Walthall or P.O. Janice McDaniel, Patrol Borough Queens South Community Affairs.
