Erin On The Rox

July 4 in Roxbury turned out to be a great day. The weather was hot so mostly everyone was at the beach enjoying the holiday. As usual the parking lot filled up fast and by a certain time no one could get a space. It seemed as though more people than usual were down to celebrate the 4th. With the track and field races in the morning, the Kiddie Parade led by the Gladiolas in the afternoon, and the Grucci Fireworks and the DJ on the Courts at night it is a great time that many visitors remember and return every year. The two winners of the annual Bean Guessing Contest turned out to be cousins Shannon Mangan and Joseph Mangan.

Lara Thompson celebrated her 6th birthday at her Dalmatian plantation in the Roxbury Firehouse on June 20, 2003. Lara’s parents, Chuck and Kim, big sister, Mackenzie, her cousin, Lindsey Allocco, and many friends and family helped her celebrate. A special thank you to Patti-Cakes for the beautiful Dalmatian cake.

The Roxbury Firehouse is having its annual blood drive this Saturday from 8:30 a.m – 2 p.m. Please donate.

Happy Birthday Wishes to Maryanne Hedderson – July 11, Bob Bernabo – July 6, Christine Goddard – July 11, Kerry O’Rourke – July 11, Danny Marano – July 3, Mike Byrnes Sr. – July 3, Barbara Rutter – July 11, and Elsa Lehner who will be 38 on July 12.
