Kids Give Graffiti The Brush-Off


Many Rockaway mailboxes are marred by graffiti, and rust, but some local kids are making them look good as new.Many Rockaway mailboxes are marred by graffiti, and rust, but some local kids are making them look good as new.

Some Belle Harbor kids with buckets of initiative and gallons of navy blue paint were thanked recently by local officials for their efforts to cover up unsightly graffiti on area mailboxes.

Robert and Betsy Carter, and Sean Edwards met with Congressman Anthony Weiner, and Rockaway Postmaster George P. Buonocore, at one of the rehabilitated boxes near P. S. 114.
