Silent Art Auction Set For June 26
The Queens Council On The Arts presents a Silent Art Auction on June 26, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The gallery located at 44-61 11 Street in Long Island City will be the site of the auction. There’s a suggested donation of fifteen dollars, with a wine bar and complimentary hors d’oeuvres by La Vuelta Restaurant.
The auction will be an opportunity to view and purchase the work of noted artists; namely, Mark Di Suvero, Kyu Nam Han, Michelle Bonelli, Peter Marin, Bill Beime, Ana Marie Nicholson, Sjoerd Doting, Mary Wheeler, Eric Hongisto, Troy Richards, Geoff Rawling, Kim Eng Yeo, Cynthia Brown, Jeremy Sarantitis, Rudy Shepherd, Michael Rakowitz, Joel Graesser, Zelda Tannenbaum, Patrick Antonelle, Brenna Beime, Peter Lundberg, Nancy Miller, Marilee Cooper, George Marian, Christian Le Gars, and Arlene Cornell.
Cooper, Robertson and Partners, the executive architects for MoMA Queens, sponsor the auction. Bettina and Miguel Oks donate gallery space.
Proceeds from this event will benefit Queens Council on the Arts. The Queens Council on the Arts is a nonprofit arts organization founded in 1968 to support, promote, and develop the arts in Queens County. Its mission is to assist artists and cultural organizations and to present the diverse cultural resources of Queens to the public.
