Seen around Breezy……..What Dad’s do on Dad’s Day…… playing ball with their children along the beach and in their backyards. Happy Father’s Day to all! At the newly renovated Sugar Bowl ( air conditioning and heat and upgraded bathrooms), met the late George Timmons’ sister in-law, Pat Timmons, who told me on July 12 the Sugar Bowl Run will be changed to George Timmons’ Run and on that day the street outside will be named," George Timmons Way". George was proprietor of the Sugar Bowl for 27 years and all family members were gathered at the Sugar Bowl in his memory on Father’s Day. In the background you could hear the songs of Johnny Cash, his favorite singer, being played all day on the Juke Box in his honor. He wont be forgotten! And, neither will those lost on 9-11 WTC. You can see pictures of them with their names on the plaque on the wall among pictures of the former patrons of the Sugar Bowl. Drop in and take a look.

Many also celebrated Father’s Day at Kennedy’s. According to the L.A. Times, Fr.. Keating is resigning from the National Reunion Board. You are urged to write to Joseph Baloon, close associate of William Bennett to ask the Board to support Fr. Keating. Catholics want an independent board. Unfortunately Keating is right regarding collusive behavior of many Bishops, including Mahoney He said, The Board must tell the truth about the behavior or they cannot expect to resolve this crisis. Take a minute to write and encourage your friends to do the same. Then give thanks to Catherine Dolan for her activism.
