Bands On The Boards Set For June 14
The Tannen Brothers will be the first performance of the "Bands on the Boards" SummerFun 2003 program on Saturday, June 14 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:40 p.m. on the Boardwalk at Beach 116 Street in Rockaway Park. The Chamber of Commerce of the Rockaways is pleased to introduce this free live concert to kick off the "Bands on the Boards" summer events.
Independently accomplished singer/songwriter/guitarists, Steve and Greg Tannen, team up to perform original material that draws upon their folk, rock and pop influences. The brothers’ songwriting skills have won them several awards including engagements at the Bitter End (NY) and in Boston. These internationally-award winning artists’ music has been heard in independent films and on TV shows like "Dawson’s Creek" and, they were recently voted two of the Top 12 Independent Releases in America. This concert is part of the Neighborhood Concert Series, co-sponsored by Carnegie Hall; Citigroup, the Council of the City of New York, Gifford Miller, Speaker; and the Department of Cultural Affairs of the City of New York, Kate D. Levin, Commissioner.
So, stop by the Boards at B. 116 Street on Saturday, June 14 and enjoy some wonderful live music. A rain date has been scheduled for Sunday, June 15.
