P.S. 104 Offers Attendance Awards
A breakfast for P.S. 104 students with perfect attendance was held on May 19. Attendance Improvement Dropout Prevention (AIDP) facilitator Ken Yanek presented awards to fifty students with 100% attendance for the 2002/2003 school year.
Assistant Principal Maritza Williams-Jones congratulated students and parents for their achievements. All the students received pins, certificates, and prizes for their accomplishment.
The importance of attendance and its effect on grades were discussed. Parents were thanked for helping students to attain perfect attendance. A parent/student buffet breakfast presented by AIDP followed the award presentation ceremony.
