A town hall meeting will be held June 12, to address many local concerns about transportation. Among the issues that are expected to be addressed are bus stop safety, vending machines for tickets, up-grading service, the fare increases, and the status of the private bus services like the Green Line.
His meeting will take place at Far Rockaway High School at 7:00pm. It will be co-hosted by State Senator Malcolm A. Smith and Assemblywoman Michelle Titus. "We are on a fact finding mission." Senator Smith said. "I am very interested in finding out the transportation concerns of the people here in Queens. I am very hopeful that we will hear what is on people’s minds and walk away with a better idea of what needs to be addressed." For additional information, call Senator Smith’s district office at 718-291-9097.
