Sanitation Worker Busted For Pot, Weapon
A car stop for a traffic infraction turned into an arrest for police officers from the 100 Precinct on Wednesday, May 28, when the officers found marijuana and an illegal weapon in the car, according to a report by the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information (DCPI).
Police say that sanitation worker Jeffrey Reaves, 38 was stopped at Beach 77 and Rockaway Beach Boulevard at about 9:40 p.m. on Wednesday.
After finding the contraband material and ascertaining that Reaves was driving with a suspended license, he was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana, criminal possession of a weapon and driving with a suspended license. He is due to be indicted early next week.
