Angel Luis Ayala
Angel Luis Ayala, who was born in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico, and lived in Rockaway for nearly thirty years, died May 1.
Ayala, who worked as a cook, is survived by his wife Carmen; children Raymond, Angelique, and Erica; grandchildren Nadia Jean, Gabrielle Gloria, Hunter Nathaniel, IsaiahKai, and Eden Victoria; nieces and nephews: John, Rochelle, David, and Elsa; great nephew Amir John; daughter-in-law, Saundra.

A mass was held at the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Far Rockaway.

Gilbert Colwell "Pop"
Gilbert Colwell, known to many as "pop" passed away on May 1.
Colwell was born in Sept. of 1932. He lived in N.J., and worked for the "Glassman" for 35 years. In 1990, he came to live with his daughter and her family, and made Rockaway his home. He lived his last three years at the Rockaway care center.
Colwell is survived by his daughter Edith; five grandchildren: Gina, Franky, Timmy, Michelle, and A.J.; five great grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.
Iyone Veronica Lindsay Homemaker
Iyone Veronica Lindsay, a Rockaway resident for more than sixty yeas, died April 25. She was 88.
Lindsay, born in Panama City, Panama, was a homemaker. She was a parishioner of Wesleyan Methodist Church in Panama, and the Arverne Church of God, in Far Rockaway.
Lindsay is survived by her husband Vincent; daughters Lorraine Dickerson; sons Keith and Duane Lindsay; grandchildren Eric and Erience Dickerson, Gregory Andre, Duane Roman, and Onaji Lindsay; great grandchildren: Duanisha, and Onaji Lindsay, Jr.; son-in-law Phillip Dickerson; daugheter-in-law Coralia Lindsay; brothers Rudolph, and Mortimer Wilkinson; sister Eleonor Clark; goddaughter Judith Dixon, and many other family and friends.

John T. McHugh
John T. McHugh, a half-century-long Breezy Point resident, passed away May 5.
McHugh was born in Brooklyn. He was a parishioner at St. Thomas More Church, and a member of the Varuna Boat Club. He worked as a business executive in the insurance industry.
He is survived by his wife Margaret (nee Troy) McHugh, and daughters Janice Gilmartin, and Meg Sammon. McHugh is also survived by five grandchildren.

Woodrow Mckenzie, a Rockaway resident for more than two decades, passed away April 23. He was 74.
Mckenzie was born in Sylacauga, Ala. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Mckenzie worked as an interior designer.
He is preceded in death by his brother Billy, and son David.
Mckenzie is survived by his wife Lucille; children Sheila, Robert, Lewis, Patricia, Vanessa, Mary Charles, Margaret Janet, and Woodrow, Jr.; Shaquana a.k.a. Vanilla; daughter-in-law Lynda; grandchildren AJ, Jessica, Lance, Vincent, Rayshawn, Sabrina, Linda, Lilnell, Matthew, Christopher, Maquesha, Percell, Olivia, and Milton; siblings Jimmie, Lillie Mae, Annie Lee, Deloris, Jessie Pearl, and Eddie Frank. Also survived by other relatives and friends, including Linton Stone.
A mass was held at Jeremiah C. Gaffeny's Friendship Chapel.
Interment at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, N.Y.
Willie Lee Norwood
Willie Lee Norwood, a Rockaway resident for nearly 15 years, passed away April 23.
Norwood was born in Aimwell, Ala. He worked as a furniture maker, and was a parishioner at the Greater Faith Community Church of Hempstead. He also belonged to the Patrolman's Benevolent Association.
He is survived by his mother Bonnie Norwood Walker; daughters Cynthia Dixon-Norwood, Latonia Ross-Norwood, Tytiera Wallace-Norwood, and Kaleah Bonnie Norwood, grandchildren Felicia and Rodarius Dixon; sisters Laura Pollock, Annie Butler, Mary Norwood, and Patricia Norwood; brothers Matthew Norwood, Brian Walker; companion Arnise Warren, friend Freeman Kelly, Unlce Rev. John L. Adams; aunts Bertha Mae Ridgeway, Eula Mae Whitted, and Mary L. Rice.
A mass was held at Jeremiah C. Gaffney's Friendship Chapel.

Mary E. Ryan
Lived to 100
Mary E. Ryan, a Rockaway resident, passed away May 1. Ryan was born in Brooklyn. She was a parishioner at St. Camillus Church. Ryan was also a retired Chase Manhattan Bank employee.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edward J. Ryan.
Ryan is survived by sons Francis X. Ryan and John Ryan; daughter Patricia Ryan; nephew Bill Moore; and niece Geraldine Frazer. Also survived by four grandchildren, and eight great grand children.

Rev. Juan Antonio Silva naci el 27 de diciembre de 1943 en Oratorio, Santa Rosa, Guatemala. Le sobreviven su esposa Alba de Silva, sus 6 hijos Melvin, Tony, Heder, Alex, Dowell y Brian; sus nueras Mirtala, Mary y Mimi; sus nietos Ariel, Yaakov, Edersito, Timmy, Stephanie, Kaith,, y sus padres Andres Silva y Damiana Varela de Silva.
Dios lo llam al ministerio a la edad de 18 aos y desde ese momento tom la decision de servile para siempre. Durante su ministerio el Seor le permiti trabajar como secretario/tesorero de los Embajadores de Cristo a nivel nacional, fue superintendente de la region intermedia, presbitero de la seccin de la zona 18, y fund el liceo"Fuentes de Vida" en la colonia Maya en Guatemala.
Despus de contraer matrimonio en 1966, y trabajar en Guatemala por varios aos, junto con su esposa viajaron a la ciudad de Nueva York en agosto de 1994 donde iniciaron una clula en Cedarhurst. All trabajaron en la iglesia de Bethlemem y en la iglesia "Holy Trinity".

Kevin Patrick Wilkinson, a Belle Harbor resident for more than 30 years, died at his winter residence in Indiatlantic, Fla. on April 24
Wilkinson was a retired New York Telephone Company manager. He was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air National Guard Reserves, and a previous Belle Harbor Property Owners Association President.
He is preceded in death by his parents Agnes O'Donohue and James Wilkinson.
Wilkinson is survived by his wife Margaret (nee Keane); son Kevin, Jr., daughters Peggy Frontera and Maureen Redden; siblings Agnes O'Donnell, Pauline Gillespie, and Maureen Helleren. He was the grandfather of Ryan, James, Sean, Matthew, Christopher, Tara, Meg, Seamus, and Max.
A mass of Christian burial was held at St. Francis de Sales Church. Interment at Calverton National Cemetery, with military honors.
Ambrozine Hervina Wilson, a Rockaway resident for nearly 40 years, passed away April 19. She was 88.
Wilson was born in Christiana, Jamaica, W.I. She worked as a nurse.
She is survived by daughters Jean Scott, and Elaine Keenan; son Victor Brown; sister Louise Lessey, grandchildren Patricia Chambers, Althea Defreitas, Diane Scott, Melissa and Dionne Keenan, Maurice Kelley, Wayne Brown, Mark Scott and Brett Keenan, and others.
A mass was held at the Jeremiah C. Gaffney Friendship Chapel.
Interment at Pinelawn Cemetery, Pinelawn, N.Y.
