Fleet Week Returns May 21 to May 27
In partnership with the United States Navy and the City of New York, the Intrepid Sea Air Space Museum celebrates the Sixteenth Annual Fleet Week from Wednesday, May 21 to Tuesday, May 27. Fleet Week is the nation’s premiere tribute to the men and women who serve in the armed forces.
Over a dozen Navy and Coast Guard ships as well as foreign military ships from the United Kingdom and India will sail into New York harbor for the weeklong celebration.
Visitors to the Intrepid Museum can enjoy exploring these ships while also enjoying arm wrestling and tug-of-war crew competitions with participation by active duty military personnel, military demonstrations, musical performances, and the best chow competition.
At 11 a.m., Monday, May 26, Memorial Day commemoration will be held at the Intrepid Sea Air Space Museum.
All events on Pier 86 are free and open to the public. The museum opens at 10 a.m. every day for Fleet Week celebrations.
