This year, St. Thomas More CYO had two novice girls teams entered in the CYO volleyball season. These two teams dominated their division finishing the regular season in first and second place. The green team coached by Linda Strong had a record of 30 wins and 6 losses, the white team coached by Una Devlin and Peggy Katen had a record of 24 wins and 12 losses.

These two teams were the only ones in their division to make it to the Diocesan championships at Molloy High School on April 12th. The championship match went the three full games with the white team winning the Diocesan championship and the green team as runners up. All the girls on both teams did an excellent job. After the final game the girls all shook hands and then they got together for one big picture. I would like to congratulate both the white and green team for a job well done. I am sure that next year’s season will be just as good as this years.
