Irishtown, Rockaway, U.S.A. - 1915

The whole gang in Cooney’s Sonsire Pub, located in Seaside’s Irishtown at 104-21 Rockaway Beach Boulevard, came outside for this great photograph.

Even the bartender (in white on the right) came out for this photo-op! Some small children are to the right, and a half round sign is an inn sign, but the top name cannot be read. 2

Cooney’s was still around after World War Two, and Dan Valenti’s Hotel was across the boulevard from Cooney’s.

Can some lad who still has the lights on upstairs give us some details on this great picture?
