Lahee Named To PHC Director’s Post
Robert V. Levine, President and Chief Executive Officer at Peninsula Hospital Center (PHC) in Far Rockaway, Queens, recently announced the appointment of Declan K. Lahee to the position of Director of Materials Management.
Lahee will be responsible for the acquisition of all medical, surgical supplies, equipment and service contracts. In addition, he will oversee the Shipping and Receiving areas, as well as Supply Processing Distribution. "I am confident that Mr. Lahee will be an important asset as we move forward in the current and changing healthcare environment," said Levine. "We look forward to the benefits of his expertise in supervising all materials management aspects of Peninsula Hospital Center."
Lahee received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Economics, Management, and Accounting from Pace University. His experience includes having most recently served as Director of Purchasing at Amsterdam Nursing Home in New York City, where he was responsible for the directing of material management activities in accordance with established policies and procedures. He has also served as Assistant Director of Purchasing at Lenox Hill Hospital and Lutheran Medical Center. Lahee began his career as a Senior Buyer for the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Prior to that, he several years as a Material Supply and Inventory Control Specialist with the United States Army.
Lahee is a resident in the Bronx.
