Lahee Named To PHC Director’s Post


Robert V. Levine, Pres­ident and Chief Executive Officer at Peninsula Hos­pital Center (PHC) in Far Rock­away, Queens, recen­tly announced the appoin­tment of Declan K. Lahee to the position of Director of Materials Man­agement.

Lahee will be responsible for the ac­quisition of all medical, surgical supplies, equipment and service contracts. In addition, he will oversee the Shipping and Receiving areas, as well as Supply Processing Distri­bution. "I am confident that Mr. Lahee will be an important asset as we move forward in the current and changing healthcare environment," said Levine. "We look forward to the benefits of his expertise in supervising all materials management aspects of Peninsula Hospital Center."

Lahee received his Bachelor of Bus­iness Administration Degree in Econ­omics, Management, and Accounting from Pace University. His experience includes having most recently served as Director of Purchasing at Amster­dam Nursing Home in New York City, where he was responsible for the directing of material management act­iv­ities in accordance with established policies and procedures. He has also serv­ed as Assistant Director of Pur­chasing at Lenox Hill Hospital and Luth­eran Medical Center. Lahee be­gan his career as a Senior Buyer for the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

Prior to that, he several years as a Material Supply and Inventory Cont­rol Specialist with the United States Army.

Lahee is a resident in the Bronx.
