Seahorses Impressive Run

Running in the P.S.A.L. freshman/ sophomore championships for N.Y.C. the Lady Seahorses showed just how talented they really are. With only 5 girls, the only way they could compete was for each girl to score in all their events. That is exactly what they did. Leading the way was Michelle Beckford who won both the long jump and the pole vault. Then she teamed up with Stella Ogarra, Jessica Belgrave and Trudy Ann Cover to take bronze in the 4x400m relay.

In the 4x200m relay Ogarra, Belgrave and Cover teamed up with Aliesha Henry for bronze as well. Henry also took 3rd in both the triple jump and the 55m hurdles. Belgrave took 3rd in the 600m run.

This enabled the girls to take 3rd place in the entire P.S.A.L. In the freshman division, Whitney Henry took a bronze in the 1000m run.
